Robber’s Row is one of three courses at Port Royal Plantation golf course. It got its name from a street in Port Royal during the Civil War. In the plaque below, you can see the description of the original main street:
“Saloons, tattoo parlors and theaters were built here…with the hope of fleecing the…Union troops stationed here.”
The next couple of pictures will give you an idea of how pretty the course is. It has a few long par fours but is an enjoyable course.
I played reasonably and as you can see didn’t have too wait long, because the course was almost empty.

This hole was a short par 3, looking back to the tee from the green.
There are houses all around, with fountains and other waterways improving the views.
I’m not sure what the dome in the distance is, but the view was great.
Of course, there are lots of water fowl around, enjoying the warm January weather.
I saw these ducks too. She seems a little upset! Maybe her husband was spending too much time on the golf course.
And here is her beau, trying to figure out what he did wrong, this time.
A great way to spend a January day. Much better than shovelling snow.
